Stereo Graffiti Back Story

The name was originally the title given to a programme of alternative cabaret events in Bradford, run by poet Nick Toczek in the 1980's. Darren played his first music performance away from his home town at one of these events, and was so taken by the inspirational Nick Toczek that he asked if he could use the name to launch some events of his own back home in Manchester.

wwflierStereo Graffiti therefore became the name given to a run of music and alternative cabaret nights in Ashton Under Lyne in the late 1980's; also a record label managed by Tim Duncan and a radio show managed by Andy Goddard.

Darren revived the name when he designed websites in the early 2000's, winning a national RNIB UK Visionary Design Award, and then again during the covid-19 outbreak in 2020/2021, re-launching the 'umbrella' to bring together a new dynamic range of creative activities.
